‘The Voice’ Singer Ryan Whyte Maloney Dead at 44 by Suicide


Ryan Whyte Maloney, a talented singer who rose to fame on The Voice, has died by suicide at the age of 44. The Clark County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Maloney passed away on Tuesday in Nevada, with the cause of death listed as a gunshot wound to the head.

The night before his tragic death, Maloney shared a video on his Instagram Story showing him at a bar. In the clip, he said, “Nine fine Irishmen for a private party tonight, and we will be rocking.”

Maloney gained national recognition on Season 6 of The Voice in 2014. His powerful rendition of Journey’s Lights during the blind auditions secured him a spot on Blake Shelton’s team. He made it to the Top 5 of Shelton’s finalists and competed in multiple battle rounds, even making an appearance in the season finale.

Throughout his time on the show, Maloney impressed audiences with covers of What’s Love Got to Do with It by Tina Turner, Second Chance by Shinedown, and Easy by Rascal Flatts.
