Nikki Glaser to Skip Controversial Topics at Golden Globes

Nikki Glaser, set to host the Golden Globes for the first time this Sunday, is taking a cautious approach to her comedy, avoiding hot-button issues like the ongoing feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Nikki revealed her decision to sidestep the controversy surrounding the "It Ends With Us" co-stars, who have been embroiled in a legal battle since Blake accused Justin of sexual harassment last month. Justin has denied the allegations and filed a countersuit against The New York Times for alleged misrepresentation in its reporting.

Acknowledging the sensitivity of the situation, Nikki explained that even mentioning the scandal could lead to backlash. "I don’t want to accidentally end up on the wrong side of things," she said, adding that she regrets even knowing Justin's name.

Nikki also ruled out jokes about Donald Trump, stating that audiences are tired of hearing about him. Instead, she promised a relatively mild opening monologue, steering clear of material that might offend the celebrity-packed audience.

Her decision comes in the wake of fellow comedian Hannah Berner facing backlash for calling Blake a derogatory term in a Netflix special recorded before the legal drama unfolded. Nikki emphasized her support for Blake while making it clear she wants to avoid giving Justin any additional attention.

Fans tuning in on Sunday can expect a lighter, more neutral tone from Nikki as she navigates her hosting debut with caution.
