Los Angeles Wildfires Force Celebrities and Thousands to Evacuate

Wildfires continue to ravage parts of Los Angeles, prompting mass evacuations and widespread devastation. Over 30,000 residents have fled their homes in the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Santa Monica as fierce winds fuel the flames, with some gusts expected to reach up to 100 miles per hour. The fires have consumed over 2,900 acres since igniting near Piedra Morada Drive on Tuesday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

Several high-profile figures have shared their experiences as the fires spread. Actor Mark Hamill, best known for his role in Star Wars, revealed on Instagram that he and his family had to evacuate their Malibu home late Tuesday evening. Hamill described driving through flames to reach safety and called the wildfire "the most horrific fire since ’93." He urged others to remain vigilant.

Mandy Moore, star of This Is Us, also evacuated her home. She posted an update via Instagram Story, confirming she was safe with her pets and expressing gratitude for first responders.

Chris Pratt, known for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy, commended the efforts of firefighters and emergency workers. In a heartfelt post, Pratt wrote, "Thank you to the brave firefighters and first responders who are working tirelessly to protect lives, homes, and wildlife."

Musician Billie Eilish shared fire department resources on her Instagram, describing the situation as "scary and devastating." Similarly, actress Kaley Cuoco called for prayers for all those affected and praised first responders for their efforts.

Reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, known from The Hills, documented the destruction of their home on social media. "I’m watching our house burn down on the security cameras," Pratt shared on Snapchat, highlighting the personal toll of the disaster.

The LAFD reported that the Pacific Palisades fire is being exacerbated by strong winds, which are expected to continue through Wednesday. In addition to the Palisades blaze, another fire broke out in Altadena's Eaton Canyon area, triggering further evacuations in parts of Altadena and Pasadena.

First responders are working tirelessly to contain the fast-moving fires, despite challenging conditions. Authorities have urged residents in affected areas to follow evacuation orders and remain updated via official channels.
