Joe Alwyn Opens Up About Relationship Scrutiny and Moving On from Taylor Swift

Joe Alwyn has shared his thoughts on the intense public scrutiny surrounding his past relationship with pop star Taylor Swift. In a recent interview with The Guardian, the actor revealed that he’s chosen to focus on the things that matter most to him: his family, friends, and career.

Alwyn, who dated Swift for six years before their relationship ended in April 2023, admitted that he has always tried to tune out the public "noise" surrounding his personal life. "If you let all of that other stuff in, it starts to affect you, and you’re living from the outside in," he said. "And then you’re pretty f****d." He went on to explain that his close circle of family and friends has been instrumental in keeping him grounded during difficult times.

Reflecting on the breakup, Alwyn emphasized that he has moved past the public discussions about his former relationship. "We’re talking about something that’s a while ago now," he noted.

This isn’t the first time Alwyn has spoken about the challenges of navigating a breakup in the public eye. Last year, he told The Times that ending a long-term, loving relationship is hard for anyone, but doing so under the scrutiny of the public is particularly tough. "It’s unusual to have the world weigh in on it a week later," he explained.

Meanwhile, Swift has since been publicly linked to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, with the two reportedly dating since September 2023.
