Courtney Ford Files for Divorce from Husband Brandon Routh After 17 Years of Marriage

Actor Courtney Ford has filed for divorce from her husband, Brandon Routh, after over 17 years of marriage. Ford, known for her role in the series Dexter, submitted the divorce petition on Wednesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Ford did not specify the date of separation. The couple shares one child, a 12-year-old son named Leo, and Ford is seeking joint legal and physical custody. She is also requesting spousal support but has asked the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to Routh.

Ford and Routh, an actor recognized for his portrayal of Superman in the 2006 film Superman Returns, married in 2007 in a ceremony held at El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara. The couple began dating in 2003 and were engaged in 2006, marking more than two decades together.

In addition to her work on Dexter, Ford has appeared in popular television series including True Blood, Parenthood, and Supernatural. Routh has also been celebrated for his roles in television, particularly as Ray Palmer/The Atom in Legends of Tomorrow and the larger Arrowverse franchise.
