Beyoncé Donates $2.5 Million to Support Victims of Los Angeles Wildfires

Beyoncé is stepping up to help those devastated by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. On Sunday, January 12, her BeyGOOD foundation announced a $2.5 million donation to establish an L.A. Fire Relief Fund.

"Los Angeles, we stand with you," the foundation wrote on Instagram. "BeyGOOD is taking action with a donation of $2.5 million."

The fund aims to assist families in the Altadena and Pasadena areas who have lost their homes. It will also provide support to local churches and community centers addressing urgent needs in the wake of the disaster.

The singer encouraged her followers to visit the BeyGOOD website to support impacted families and learn more about the foundation’s efforts.

The donation comes as the death toll from the fires rose to 24, with 16 victims found in the Eaton fire zone and eight in the Palisades area, according to the L.A. County Medical Examiner.

The Palisades fire alone has burned over 23,000 acres and is only 11% contained, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Beyoncé isn’t the only celebrity contributing to relief efforts. Paris Hilton, who lost her Malibu home to the flames, donated $100,000 and pledged to match another $100,000 in additional contributions. Eva Longoria shared an emotional Instagram video announcing her $50,000 donation to the organization This Is About Humanity, urging others to focus on immediate aid.

Other stars, including Halle Berry and Tika Sumpter, have also pitched in, donating personal goods and financial aid to support those affected.
