Rapper OG Maco, born Benedict Ihesiba Jr., has died at 32 after battling a self-inflicted gunshot wound for two weeks. His passing was announced on his official X account on Friday, December 27. Surrounded by family at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, the rapper succumbed to his injuries, TMZ reported.

Known for his 2014 hit U Guessed It, Maco's family described him as a beacon of resilience, creativity, and love. In a statement, they said, “While we grieve this immense loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he lived — one that will continue to inspire and uplift others.” Fans were invited to share condolences via DM.
