Morgan Wallen Sentenced to DUI Program and Probation for Chair-Throwing Incident

Morgan Wallen has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment in connection with a chair-throwing incident earlier this year. The country music star has been sentenced to seven days in a DUI education center, a program focused on alternative sentencing for offenders of reckless driving and endangerment in Tennessee.

Following his time in the center, Wallen will serve two years of probation and pay a $350 fine along with court fees. The incident occurred in April when Wallen was arrested after throwing a chair from the rooftop bar Chief’s in Nashville. While the chair did not hit anyone, he was initially charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.

Footage of the chair being thrown and Wallen’s arrest circulated online. After the event, Wallen acknowledged his actions, stating he was not proud of his behavior and took full responsibility. His attorney, Worrick Robinson, noted that Wallen has apologized to those affected and remains focused on creating a positive impact through his music and charitable work.
