Mariah Carey’s 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' Breaks Another Record

Mariah Carey’s iconic holiday hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," has broken another record, solidifying her reign as the “Queen of Christmas.” The song has spent three consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, bringing its total to 17 weeks at number one since its 1994 release. This makes it Mariah's longest-running chart-topper, surpassing her 1995 hit, "One Sweet Day," with Boyz II Men.

Celebrating the milestone, Mariah reposted Billboard's announcement on Instagram, expressing her gratitude with the caption, "This is amazing!!!! Will never ever ever ever ever take this for granted. Merry early Christmas!!!!"

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is now just two weeks shy of tying the all-time record for the longest-running number one, held by Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” at 19 weeks.

With the holiday season in full swing, it’s entirely possible Mariah’s classic could make history. If not, there’s always next Christmas!
