Kristin Cavallari Shares Scary Story of a Home Intruder in 2020

Kristin Cavallari recently opened up about a frightening experience with a home intruder during her podcast, Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari. The former Laguna Beach star revealed the incident happened in 2020 while she, her then-husband Jay Cutler, and their three children were staying at a gated resort in the Bahamas.

Kristin explained that one night, she woke up to find a man in a ski mask crawling on the floor of her bedroom. At the time, her son Camden was in bed with her. “I woke up and saw him on the floor. I said, ‘What the fuck are you doing?’” she shared.

The intruder quickly stood up and ran out of the room. Kristin described him as wearing all black, including a ski mask. Despite the terrifying situation, she didn’t scream or panic because her son was in the bed with her. Instead, she stayed calm, saying it felt like something out of a movie.

After the man left, Kristin found Jay with their other two children and realized how serious the situation was. She began shaking as the fear set in. “At first, I wasn’t scared. I was running on instinct. But once it was over, I started processing what happened,” she said.

The intruder stole cash stored in a backpack. Later, they discovered he was one of the workers who had been fixing their HVAC unit earlier that day.

Kristin chose not to tell her children about the incident. “That’s something I’ll probably share with them when they’re adults,” she said. “Kids don’t need to know about things that could scare them like this.”

Kristin is the founder of the jewelry brand Uncommon James, which she started in 2017. She describes her line as offering stylish and affordable pieces that make customers feel great.
