A Rolex Submariner believed to belong to Hollywood star Keanu Reeves has been recovered by Chilean authorities in a recent raid, according to local reports.
On Saturday, police in Santiago, Chile, raided four properties in the capital and uncovered a collection of stolen watches and jewelry. Among the recovered items was a Rolex Submariner with a distinct engraving linked to Reeves’ popular John Wick franchise. The inscription reads: "2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five."
A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the stolen goods, and authorities believe at least one of the watches belongs to the actor. The Submariner, which retails for upwards of $9,000, is part of the same series of timepieces Reeves had previously gifted to his stuntmen with similar engravings for their work on John Wick: Chapter 4, as reported by GQ.
Reeves' connection to the stolen items comes amid ongoing security concerns at his Hollywood Hills home. In December 2023, intruders wearing ski masks broke into the actor's residence, although it is unclear whether the watch was taken during this break-in. Representatives for Reeves have not yet commented on the matter.
This is not the first time the actor’s home has been targeted by intruders. In fact, Reeves has faced multiple break-ins over the past few years. In 2023, he filed a restraining order against an alleged stalker who had trespassed on his property multiple times. One of the incidents involved the stalker bringing a DNA testing kit to allegedly prove a familial connection to the Matrix star.
Authorities continue to investigate the origin of the stolen goods, but the recovery of the Rolex is a significant step toward resolving this latest case of celebrity theft.
