Keanu Reeves Talks ‘John Wick 5’ and Prepares for Spin-Off ‘Ballerina’

Keanu Reeves recently hinted at the possibility of John Wick 5 during a press event for his upcoming role in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, where he voices Shadow. Speaking to CBS News, Reeves said, “You can never say never,” but joked about the physical toll of playing the iconic hitman. “My heart does [want it], but I don’t know if my knees can do it.”

While a fifth installment remains uncertain, fans can look forward to Reeves’ return as John Wick in Ballerina, the first spin-off in the franchise. Starring Ana de Armas as assassin Eve Macarro, the film explores her quest for revenge following her family’s murder.

Set after John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, the movie features familiar faces like Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Anjelica Huston. Scheduled for release on June 6, 2025, Ballerina will also include one of Reddick’s final performances.

The trailer showcases intense action and a brief glimpse of Reeves, though his role in the story remains unclear. While John Wick 5 is still in question, Ballerina promises to expand the franchise’s universe and deliver more adrenaline-pumping action.
