A source shared with PEOPLE that the 55-year-old singer and actress is "focusing on her own life" after filing for divorce in August. While acknowledging the tough year, the source added that Lopez is in a good place and is looking forward to the upcoming holiday season.

Lopez, who shares twins Max and Emma with ex-husband Marc Anthony, has been house-hunting for a new place for herself and her children. Meanwhile, Affleck, 52, spent Thanksgiving with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their three kids, but Lopez offered a peek into her own holiday celebrations on Instagram, expressing gratitude to her fans.

In her professional life, Lopez is receiving recognition for her supporting role in Unstoppable, a sports drama about Anthony Robles, a wrestler born with one leg. She was recently honored with the Maverick Award at the 2024 IndieWire Awards. Lopez also has upcoming projects, including the movie musical Kiss of the Spider Woman, which she describes as the "most challenging and rewarding role" of her career. She’s also working on a rom-com titled Office Romance with Brett Goldstein and a series adaptation of Happy Place by Emily Henry.

Earlier this year, Lopez canceled her summer tour to prioritize family time, but she teased fans in October, saying she would be back on stage soon.
