Harvey Weinstein Hospitalized Again After Alarming Blood Test Results

Harvey Weinstein has been hospitalized again at Bellevue Hospital in New York City following alarming blood test results related to his leukemia diagnosis. According to his attorney, Imran H. Ansari, the test conducted at Rikers Island revealed concerning results. However, Weinstein’s condition is treatable, and he is receiving emergent care to stabilize his health.

Weinstein, who has faced ongoing health challenges, has reportedly been struggling with inadequate medical care and harsh conditions at Rikers. His attorney has described the situation as "deplorable and inhumane," citing the lack of care as both medical malpractice and a violation of constitutional rights.

Last week, Weinstein filed a claim with the NYC Comptroller’s Office, alleging that the conditions at Rikers have worsened his numerous medical issues. His spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, added that the treatment Weinstein has endured constitutes "cruel and unusual punishment."

Weinstein’s health problems have been mounting since his leukemia diagnosis in October. Earlier this year, he was hospitalized with COVID-19, double pneumonia, and underwent emergency heart surgery. His current stay at Bellevue is expected to continue until his condition improves.
