Halle Berry Seeks Full Custody of Son Maceo, Accuses Olivier Martinez of Poor Co-Parenting

Halle Berry has filed a bombshell declaration in court, seeking to strip her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, of legal custody of their 11-year-old son, Maceo. The declaration, obtained by In Touch, comes as part of an ongoing legal battle between the two, who were married in 2013 and divorced in 2016. Their divorce wasn’t finalized until late 2023.

Halle claims that Olivier is not a cooperative co-parent and has demonstrated poor judgment when it comes to parenting. She argues that his personal feelings toward her have led to hostile communication, which has delayed important decisions for Maceo. Halle alleges that Olivier’s actions have interfered with critical decisions related to their son’s well-being, including therapy and education. She emphasizes that it took years of mediation and costly legal fees to resolve these matters.

The actress also criticized Olivier for withholding information about their son's soccer events, preventing her from attending practices and games. Halle insists that she never considered sending Maceo to boarding school or a treatment facility, despite claims to the contrary made by Olivier’s lawyers.

Olivier, in turn, has filed a redacted declaration and declined to make public comments, citing his desire to protect Maceo. His lawyer stated that Olivier has addressed all allegations directly with Halle.

In addition to the custody dispute, Halle has accused two former employees of collaborating with Olivier to spread false reports about her. One of the ex-employees will be questioned during the upcoming court hearing.
