In an emotional Instagram post, Gal shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed, nursing her newborn daughter while looking visibly exhausted. She explained that the ordeal began in February when she was eight months pregnant and started experiencing severe headaches. After undergoing an MRI, doctors discovered the blood clot, and she was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
“My daughter, Ori, was born during that moment of uncertainty and fear,” Gal wrote. She shared that the name Ori, which means "my light," was chosen to symbolize hope. “Before the surgery, I told Jaron [her husband] that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel.”
Despite the frightening experience, Gal is now fully recovered and using her platform to raise awareness about blood clots during pregnancy. She highlighted how common this condition can be for expectant mothers and urged people to pay attention to their bodies.
Ori is Gal's fourth child, joining her older siblings Alma (born in 2011), Maya (2017), and Daniella (2021). While Gal has several upcoming movies slated for release next year, she shared that her health and family took priority this year.
