Dwayne Johnson Teases Bollywood Dreams and Festive Action in Red One

Dwayne Johnson is making 2024 an eventful year with exciting projects. Following his role in the second installment of the Moana animated series, the actor is gearing up to bring a festive twist with Red One. The holiday movie features an impressive cast, including Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons, Lucy Liu, and Kiernan Shipka. Johnson plays Callum Drift, Santa’s head of security, who teams up with Chris Evans’ character to rescue Santa Claus before Christmas in a high-stakes adventure.

In a recent interview with Filmfare, Johnson expressed his admiration for Bollywood and his past experience working with Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Baywatch. He described their collaboration as enjoyable and revealed his interest in being part of a Bollywood film, noting the massive potential of the Indian market. "There’s Hollywood and then there’s Bollywood,” he remarked.

Baywatch marked one of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s initial forays into Hollywood, where she played the villain, Victoria Leeds, opposite Johnson and other stars like Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario. The actress has since appeared in major productions, including The Matrix Resurrections. At the 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival, she shared her admiration for the iconic sci-fi franchise, saying it inspired her passion for filmmaking.
