Dua Lipa Responds to 2025 Grammy Snub: "I'm So Proud of Radical Optimism"

Pop sensation Dua Lipa recently opened up about not receiving a Grammy nomination for her latest album, Radical Optimism, in the 2025 awards cycle. Speaking with Billboard U.K. on December 16, Lipa shared her thoughts and reflections following the announcement, maintaining a positive outlook despite the snub.

While acknowledging the prestige of Grammy recognition, Lipa expressed immense pride in what Radical Optimism has already achieved. "I’m so proud of Radical Optimism and where it’s brought me," she said. "I love that album, and I’m having the time of my life performing it live. I’ve been able to do things that I thought I could only dream of this year, so I’m really grateful."

Lipa also shared her appreciation for the strong presence of female artists in this year's nominations. “Although it would have been nice to be recognized by your industry, especially as a woman, I’m so proud to see so many incredible female artists nominated at the Grammys this year,” she said.

The Dance The Night singer has already received 10 Grammy nominations over the course of her career, including Best New Artist in 2019. Reflecting on her journey, Lipa noted that her earlier work, particularly the album Future Nostalgia, paved the way for her creative experimentation with new sounds and new directions.

Looking ahead, Lipa is gearing up for the Radical Optimism tour, which kicks off in 2025. The highly anticipated tour will visit over 40 cities across North America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the UK. Lipa teased the tour on social media, writing, "RADICAL OPTIMISM TOUR 2025!! THEY SAID THEY 'MISS 2022 DUA.'"

The tour is set to start on September 1, 2025, in Toronto, with performances in major cities such as Chicago, Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, among others.

Despite the Grammy snub, it’s clear that Dua Lipa remains focused on her music and the positive momentum she’s building with Radical Optimism as she heads into 2025 with an exciting new chapter.
