Man Accuses Diddy of Assault, Names Jennifer Lopez as Witness

A male prisoner, Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, has filed a lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, claiming the music mogul sexually assaulted him in 1997. Derrick, who is currently in prison in Michigan, also plans to call Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, to testify in the case.

In court documents, Derrick alleges that he met Diddy while working as a bartender and was invited to a hotel party in Detroit. At the party, he claims Diddy gave him a drink, saying it had “a little something” in it. Derrick says he later woke up to find Diddy with another woman and claims Diddy admitted to assaulting him as well.

Derrick is seeking $400 million in damages and accuses officials of covering up the incident.

Jennifer Lopez's Involvement
Derrick has named Jennifer Lopez, who dated Diddy from 1999 to 2001, as a witness. He believes she has information related to his claims.

Diddy’s Response
Diddy, through his legal team, denies the allegations and calls the claims “baseless.” His lawyer points out that the accusations were filed over 20 years past the legal deadline and questions Derrick’s credibility, noting inconsistencies in his story.

The legal team also dismissed Derrick’s claim that he delayed filing the lawsuit out of fear, saying it lacks evidence.

Ongoing Legal Troubles
Diddy is also facing separate charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. He was arrested in September and has pleaded not guilty. So far, his attempts to secure release on bond have been unsuccessful.
