Diddy Faces New Rape Allegation from 1991 NYC Event

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a new lawsuit from a woman accusing him of rape during a 1991 charity basketball event at the City College of New York. The event, co-hosted by Combs before he became famous, is also remembered for a tragic stampede that left nine people dead.

The accuser, identified as Jane Doe, says she attended the event with a friend after being invited by a rapper scheduled to perform. She claims the crowd outside was chaotic, so she convinced a security guard to let them in early.

Inside, they couldn’t find the rapper, and were instead led to a gym locker room where Diddy had a makeshift dressing area. The woman says she didn’t know who Diddy was at the time but asked him to help her connect with the rapper. She alleges he offered her a drink, which made her feel woozy after just one sip.

According to the lawsuit, Diddy blocked her when she tried to leave, began fondling her, and eventually raped her. The woman says she told him she would report the incident, but Diddy allegedly threatened her, saying, “People can come up missing.”

After the incident, the woman reunited with her friend, and they left the event. Outside, the scene was chaotic as the stampede unfolded.

Diddy’s lawyers have strongly denied the claims, calling them “ridiculous” and “demonstrably false.” In a statement, they said, “Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone. In court, the truth will prevail.”

This new allegation adds to the controversies surrounding Diddy, as he faces other legal challenges in recent weeks.
