Without missing a beat, Lohan responded, “Well, you should’ve paid me double, because I don’t have one.” The crowd applauded her quick wit, and Lohan admitted she was surprised at how she managed to come up with such a response at that young age.
Lohan also reflected on how The Parent Trap marked the first and only time she auditioned for a film. The 1998 movie launched her career, and she’s open to revisiting the role if director Nancy Meyers is involved. "I would never say no to Nancy," she said when asked about a possible sequel or reboot.
Although there are no plans for a Parent Trap reboot, Lohan is returning to her Disney roots in next year’s Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday, where she’ll reunite with Jamie Lee Curtis. The film, which was shot over the summer, brought back nostalgic feelings for Lohan, especially when she stepped onto the Disney lot.
“For me, it was when I went onto the Disney lot,” she shared. “Being back on the Disney lot because that’s not just Freaky Friday for me. That’s The Parent Trap, that’s Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, that’s Herbie.” She expressed deep gratitude for her time at Disney, admitting she was overcome with emotion reflecting on her iconic roles.
Lohan’s return to Disney has fans excited to see her back in action and looking forward to what’s next in her career.
