The issue arose because Todd was working in an office near the prison’s Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), where inmates spend part of their time inside and part outside the prison. It’s unclear what Todd discussed with these inmates, but officials didn’t approve of him speaking with those who had limited access to the outside world.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on the matter due to privacy reasons. Todd, who is known for his deep religious faith, enjoyed organizing services and is hoping to get his position back soon. For now, he continues to attend religious services while serving his 12-year sentence.
