Although initially confused about the show's concept, Pattinson listened attentively as Waterhouse tried to convince him they should host the show together. Amused and a bit skeptical, he questioned if she was serious, asking, “Are you joking? Is this whole thing a joke?”
As the conversation progressed, Pattinson quickly caught on to the prank, just as Waterhouse began to laugh. Before hanging up, Pattinson playfully expressed his suspicion that he was being set up, and Waterhouse reassured him it was all in good fun. As a loving sign-off, she told him, “I love you,” before ending the call.
Waterhouse also managed to prank other celebrities during the interview, including Zoë Kravitz and Camila Morrone.
The couple, who began dating in 2018, kept their relationship private for years, later announcing their engagement in December 2023. In March 2024, they welcomed their first child together.
