It all started in December when Paula first filed her lawsuit, claiming that Nigel had groped her assistant during a So You Think You Can Dance shoot in Las Vegas back in 2015. Nigel swiftly denied the accusation. But now, things have taken a dramatic turn. Nine months later, Paula filed an amended lawsuit, adding a shocking new layer to the story—this time, claiming that she too was assaulted during the same incident.
According to Paula’s updated complaint, Nigel allegedly touched her inappropriately, including her “buttocks, hips, waist, and breasts,” and even tried to kiss her on the neck after her assistant rejected his advances.
Nigel isn’t holding back in his response. In new court documents, he pointed out the timing of Paula’s claims, questioning how she could remember witnessing her assistant’s assault, but only recall her own assault much later. He flatly accuses Paula of changing her story to keep the lawsuit alive, arguing that her shifting allegations raise serious questions about her credibility.
In Nigel’s words, he believes he’s “the victim of Abdul’s appalling lies,” maintaining his stance that the claims are entirely false and offensive.
This isn't the only accusation Paula has leveled at her former boss, though. Her suit reportedly lists other incidents involving Nigel, all of which he has denied. As the case unfolds, it seems this legal battle between two once-close colleagues is only getting more heated.
