King didn’t just watch from the sidelines either! She included a fun video of herself dancing in the crowd as Carpenter performed "Please Please Please," along with more clips of the pop star’s hit “Good Graces.” She also shared some heartwarming backstage snaps with her four nieces and Carpenter, showing the strong bond between their families.
Rocking a pink mini skirt, matching shirt, and a baseball cap emblazoned with the word “camaraderie” — a nod to Carpenter’s song "Bed Chem" — King clearly had the time of her life. When a fan asked why she was mingling with the crowd instead of enjoying VIP treatment, King cheekily responded, “wanted to mosh babe.”
The lovefest didn’t end there. Joey posted a sweet photo of herself hugging Sabrina on her Instagram Stories, captioning it, “I love you my Brina. Perfect girl. Perfect show. Feel so lucky to watch you shine.”
This isn’t the first time King has shown off her love for Carpenter’s music. Back in June, after watching Carpenter perform at the Governors Ball, King told PEOPLE how thrilled she was to finally see her friend live again after a long break. “I’m so happy for her, and I just can’t stop singing ‘Please Please Please’... get out of my head,” she joked. She also admitted to being obsessed with the song’s music video, confessing she’d watched it on repeat late into the night.
When it comes to Carpenter’s Short n' Sweet album, King has a hard time picking a favorite. “This changes literally every day,” she shared with PEOPLE in September, proving just how much Sabrina’s music means to her.
