Berry and Benét married in 2001 after two years of dating but separated in 2003. At the time, she issued a statement to “Entertainment Weekly,” explaining, “Eric and I have had marital problems for some time now and have tried to work things out together. However, at this point, I feel we need time apart to reevaluate our union.” Rumors of infidelity plagued their marriage, largely fueled by his alleged addiction.
In 2004, Benét responded to the speculation, stating, “I am not a sex addict. I am a person who ... through a series of emotional events, troubles, challenges, made some really, really stupid, painful mistakes.” Now 57, Benét married Manuela Testolini in 2011, and they have two daughters together.
Berry, known for her roles in films like “Die Another Day,” has had her share of relationships. After Benét, she dated model Gabriel Aubry from 2005 to 2010, with whom she shares a daughter, Nahla. Their custody battle was contentious, leading to a court ruling that required Berry to pay Aubry $16,000 a month in child support.
She then married French actor Olivier Martinez in 2013, welcoming their son Maceo later that year. However, they divorced in 2016, and Berry recently revealed in court documents that she spent over $200,000 in legal fees to secure custody of Maceo, which included $80,000 for Martinez’s legal expenses. In her filing, she expressed her commitment to working with Martinez to co-parent amicably.
Currently, Berry is in a relationship with musician Van Hunt, whom she met during the COVID-19 pandemic. At a December 2021 event, she referred to Hunt as the “love of her life,” showing that she has found happiness again after her past struggles.
