Diaz recently opened up at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit about her decision to step away from Hollywood. “It was just something I had to do,” she explained. “It felt like the right choice to reclaim my life, focus on my family, and build the life I truly wanted.” Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden, share two children, and over the years, she’s also launched successful business ventures, like her popular wine brand, Avaline.
In "Back in Action," Diaz and Foxx star as two former CIA spies who are pulled back into the world of espionage after their secret identities are revealed. The film, directed by Seth Gordon, features an exciting cast that includes Kyle Chandler, Andrew Scott, and Glenn Close.
But that’s not all for Diaz. Fans of the "Shrek" franchise have something to look forward to as well—Diaz is set to reprise her beloved role as Fiona in the fifth installment of the animated series, alongside Mike Myers as Shrek and Eddie Murphy as Donkey.
Cameron Diaz was one of the most bankable stars of the late 1990s and early 2000s, making her mark with memorable roles in films like "The Mask," "There’s Something About Mary," and "Charlie’s Angels." Although she initially retired from acting in 2018, Diaz seems ready to dive back into the spotlight, and her fans couldn’t be more excited.
