Britney Spears is opening up about a difficult past relationship, sharing on Instagram that she once slept outside after arguments with an ex during trips to Turks and Caicos. Reflecting on her recent visit to the island, she recalled that these vacations with her former partner rarely brought any peace or relaxation.

According to Britney, every trip with her ex was marred by conflict, with the two frequently sleeping apart. "Not one time did I sleep in bed with him!!!" she wrote, describing how she’d end up outside with a pillow. Despite these memories, she admits that the soothing sound of a fountain made sleeping outside a bit more bearable.

This time around, Britney’s trip has a different vibe. Though she’s mainly stayed indoors to escape the heat, she mentioned possibly spending a night in the courtyard, but on her own terms. She added a lighthearted video of herself dancing in black lingerie, showing she’s enjoying her solo getaway.

The pop star’s love life has been a rollercoaster recently, from her split with husband Sam Asghari last August, to a brief connection with former housekeeper Paul Soliz, who she reportedly argued with at the Chateau Marmont in May. In July, Britney announced her single status, even “marrying herself” in a quirky social media post last week.

After past marriages to Kevin Federline and Jason Alexander, Britney seems to be embracing the single life, and perhaps that’s just what she needs right now.
