Autumn Crittendon of "16 & Pregnant" Dies at 27 from Fentanyl Overdose

Autumn Crittendon, best known for her role on MTV's "16 & Pregnant," has tragically passed away at the age of 27. The Virginia Department of Health reported that her death was caused by an accidental overdose of fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl, a synthetic opioid similar to fentanyl.

Autumn was found unresponsive in her bedroom in July at her Virginia home, where she lived with her child, mother, and stepfather. Despite the prompt arrival of paramedics who attempted to revive her with CPR, their efforts were unsuccessful.

She gained fame on season 5 of "16 & Pregnant," which showcased her journey of becoming a mother to her eldest son, Drake, with her then-boyfriend, Dustin Franklin. Autumn was a mother of three children in total.

Her passing highlights the ongoing crisis of fentanyl overdoses in the United States, as she joins many other celebrities who have lost their lives to this dangerous substance.
