Fennell, who won an Oscar for best original screenplay with Promising Young Woman, announced her plans to adapt Wuthering Heights in July. With Robbie, Elordi, and LuckyChap on board, many of the key players from Saltburn are reuniting for this new project. Barry Keoghan, who starred in Saltburn, has also expressed interest in joining the cast.
Robbie has been a strong supporter of Fennell’s unique style, praising her ability to immerse audiences in dark, thought-provoking worlds. Robbie previously produced both of Fennell's films but has not appeared on camera in them. She admitted stepping aside for the lead role in Promising Young Woman was tough, but she is now taking a starring role in Wuthering Heights.
The film is currently in pre-production and set to begin shooting in the UK in 2025. Meanwhile, Robbie is set to appear in Kogonada’s A Big Bold Beautiful Journey in May 2025, and Elordi will next be seen in The Narrow Road to the Deep North and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.
