CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson shared photos of the team sporting black shirts featuring Kelce's image, front and back. Wide receiver Rashee Rice reportedly organized the gesture, buying the shirts to "honor their leader and a guy who has mentored all of them." The shirts were made by Dreamathon, the same brand the team wore in support of running back Isiah Pacheco earlier this month after his injury.
While Kelce was feeling the locker room love, his actual love, Taylor Swift, was notably absent from the game at SoFi Stadium. For the second week in a row, Swift skipped a Chiefs game—she also missed last week's game against the Falcons in Atlanta. Despite attending the first two games of the season, it seems her busy schedule has kept her away lately.
Fans have been buzzing about Kelce’s slow start to the season, with some even hinting that Swift might be bad luck. But Kelce seems determined to silence the haters. He made a huge 38-yard catch early in the game—his longest of the season so far.
Time will tell how this season turns out for Kelce, but one thing’s for sure: his teammates have his back, no matter what.
