Kim Kardashian Shares Encouragement for Parents of Kids with Learning Differences

Kim Kardashian is offering encouragement to parents who are facing challenges with their children's learning differences.

On Friday, September 13, Kim Kardashian, 43, shared a video on her Instagram Stories of her friend Lauren Sánchez. In the video, Lauren talked on The View about her new children's book, The Fly Who Flew to Space, and her experiences with dyslexia as a child.

In the clip, Sánchez, who is engaged to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, talked about how she went from struggling to write because of dyslexia to becoming an award-winning journalist, thanks to support from a professor.

In her Instagram post, Kardashian mentioned that she is the mother of a child with dyslexia and found comfort in Sánchez's story.

Kardashian wrote, "I’m sharing this not just because she's my friend and I care about her, but because every mom who has faced challenges with their child's dyslexia or other learning differences needs to know it will be okay."

Sánchez later shared Kardashian's post again and added a few praying-hand emojis to thank her for the support.

Kardashian’s oldest daughter, North West, who she has with ex-husband Kanye West, had earlier mentioned in a TikTok livestream that she was diagnosed with dyslexia. At the time, Kardashian had asked her not to share too much information with fans.

In the October 2023 livestream, North, 11, said, "Guys, I have dyslexia. Do you even know what that is?"

The reality star replied to her daughter, "Northie, you're sharing a lot here," and later said she would end the livestream because "you’re sharing too much. I try not to talk about what you're going through."

The Kardashians star is open about her relationship with North. They share a TikTok account called @kimandnorth and have gone viral for their dance routines and chats during livestreams.

Last month, the mom of four posted behind-the-scenes footage showing what goes into making their popular dance videos, like their TikTok dance to Charli XCX's song "Apple."

In an Instagram carousel post on Kardashian's account, they are seen laughing at their own video, with North’s phone stuck to the mirror. The post also included the dancing video they were filming.

Kardashian captioned the post, "I might enjoy the TikTok dances a little bit 😉."
