Joshua Jackson Reflects on Career Doubts and Previews New Role in Doctor Odyssey

Joshua Jackson has long captivated audiences with his impressive acting talent, but he recently shared that his career has not always been smooth sailing. Jackson admitted that there have been times when he questioned whether he should continue acting.

Despite his gratitude for his successful career, Jackson revealed that, like anyone, he has faced difficulties and moments of uncertainty. Reflecting on his journey, he shared with E!’s Laverne Cox that he has sometimes wondered if he still possesses the same passion and drive for acting that he did early in his career. "There have definitely been times where I've questioned whether or not I still had the fire, the passion to do this," Jackson said.

Although he still loves acting, Jackson emphasized that if he ever felt he lacked passion, he would believe someone else should have the opportunity. His dedication to the craft remains strong, as he prepares for his next role in the upcoming Ryan Murphy series, Doctor Odyssey.

In Doctor Odyssey, Jackson will play Max, a doctor on a luxury cruise ship. The show, set to premiere on ABC later this month, promises a blend of medical drama and high seas adventure. The crew of the ship will face various medical crises while navigating their complex relationships with each other. Alongside Jackson, the series will feature Sean Teale, Don Johnson, and Phillipa Soo.

In addition to his acting role, Jackson will also serve as an executive producer for the series, working alongside Ryan Murphy and Don Johnson. He described the show as offering a "brief period of good times," with exquisite settings and beautiful costumes, making it a visually stunning experience for viewers.
