The band was scheduled to perform in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Sunday as part of their reunion tour, but the show has now been canceled. In a statement posted on Instagram, Jane’s Addiction expressed their regret over the situation and apologized to their fans. They also assured that those who had purchased tickets would be reimbursed.
Jane’s Addiction, formed in Los Angeles in 1985, is currently in the midst of a highly anticipated reunion after more than a decade apart. The band consists of Perry Farrell, David Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery. While they are set to perform multiple dates across the US and Canada in the coming months, there has been no confirmation yet on whether those shows will still take place following the Boston incident.
The band has released four albums, including Nothing’s Shocking (1988), Ritual de lo Habitual (1990), Strays (2003), and The Great Escape Artist (2011). They are best known for hits like Been Caught Stealing and Strays. In 2013, Jane’s Addiction was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, cementing their legacy in rock history.
