Berry's character, Sofia, a skilled assassin and manager of The Continental's Casablanca branch, was a standout in Chapter 3, where she teamed up with Keanu Reeves’ John Wick. Despite the popularity of her character, Sofia’s story was not continued in John Wick: Chapter 4. Berry admitted her disappointment that her character did not return, especially since Sofia had aided Wick after he saved her daughter's life.
While John Wick 5 is already in the works, with Reeves set to return, director Chad Stahelski has indicated he is cautious about bringing back past characters to avoid repetitive storylines.
In addition to her John Wick aspirations, Berry is promoting her new thriller Never Let Go. In the film, she plays a protective mother, June, who fights to protect her sons from a terrifying entity. The movie, directed by Alexandre Aja and produced by Shawn Levy, has sparked early discussions for possible sequels and a prequel, despite receiving mixed reviews. Berry remains hopeful about the film's future.
